Что-же очень жаль но этого стоило ждать, сервис стал очень популярен в последнее время и с каждым днем в нем все больше и больше аккаунтов админов серверов. Стоимость данной услуги 2 $. ну что же посмотрим кто останется на этом сервисе. Upcoming Changes to Metabans
Subscription System Integration
Over the last couple of years we have been struggling to pay our monthly server fees and the staff has been picking up the bill to keep Metabans alive. However, as we continue to grow, we have made changes to the needed resources and the costs have increased. To keep up with the demand we have decided to roll out a subscription system that will turn the Metabans API into a paid service.
The Metabans API
The API is the core of Metabans and allows many features including streaming to Metabans to distribute and inherit bans. To make use of Metabans API users can opt in to pay a flat fee of $2.00 USD a month to have access to the API features. This means you can stream as many servers as you want or have.
When is this going to happen?
We will start the implementation of the new system on March 1st 2015 and have it fully integrated and working by March 15th 2015.
How does this affect you?
When you are currently streaming to us, you will have until the 15th of March to continue using your current API Key. After the 15th the API key field will disappear and users will have to subscribe to unlock their key. All current API keys will be reset. Payments are done via Paypal.
Why is Metabans becoming a paid service?
We have to get funds to stay alive. It's as simple as that. At the moment only a few of our users are donating on regular basis and it's just not enough to pay the monthly bills. By making Metabans a paid service, with just a nominal monthly fee, we want to spread the costs to all of our users equally.
What happens with the money Metabans receives?
All the money we receive will go towards better servers and to develop new features for Metabans. We are planning to integrate new features, a site redesign and support even more games. But more about all that in a later stage.
Metabans' future?
We want to build Metabans into the service every server admin wants to use. And in order to do we need funds. This is the direction Metabans will need to go in order to address the issues and turn this into a much needed service.
